Let’s Get Physical

Uhhhhhh!!! Raise your hand if you are tired of sitting at home and becoming one with the couch. Yeah? Me too! One of my favorite ways to past the time is to exercise. I know I am one of the rare creatures that actually likes to workout, but let me tell you. Once you finish a workout, it feels like you can conquer the world!
I thought for today’s post I would share with you 10 of my favorite free ways to workout. So get your workout gear on, get a good stretch in, and LET’S GET PHYSICAL!!!

Popsugar Fitness: I absolutely love Popsugar Fitness. They have so many different workouts on Youtube that you are bound to find something you like. My latest obsession is their kickboxing videos. Doing kickboxing brings out my inner warrior, because hey, I am tiny but mighty. 🙂

Blogilates: If you are looking for a good Pilates workout, Casey has your back. She will put you through hell while still having a smile on her face and feeding you words of encouragement. I mean this in the best way possible because her workouts are simple but oh so effective. I definitely recommend giving her workouts a try.

Tiler Peck’s Instagram: I know this is a little unconventional for some, but since I am a dancer, I love to do Tiler Peck’s Ballet classes on her Instagram. She started at the beginning of the Covid-19 shutdown in order to help either dancers stay up to par on their technique and for people who just would like a really good ballet class. If you would like to check her out, she does daily Instagram Live classes at 10 am @tilerpeck and they will be up for 24 hours.

Kathryn Morgan’s Youtube Channel: If you are going down the whole ballet route, another person I love to watch is Kathryn Morgan. She has plenty of barre and center workouts for all levels and she also has plenty of videos to help with anything you need help on, such as pirouettes. So grab a chair, a counter, or a barre and get ready to dance.

Running: I am pretty sure I do not have to elaborate on this, but there is an app that I can recommend to help beginner runners build up their stamina to a 5k. It is called 5k Run by Vandersoft. The whole idea is to get a couch potato to a runner in 8 weeks by timing your intervals of jogging and in-between walks. You can also listen to music while the app is tracking your jog, so yeah, check it out!

Tone It Up: Katrina and Karena’s Youtube channel has so many videos ranging from different workouts, meditation, healthy recipes, and a bunch of self love videos. Their videos are also short, so you can get a good workout without sacrificing your time. They have been seen in many magazines such as SELF, Runner’s World, Shape Magazine, and many more. They also have a website and an app and if you would like to pay for a workout program, they have that too. Another pro to it, their workout videos are usually filmed on the beach, so it is like you are there as well.

The Fitness Marshall: Another great Youtube channel to add to the list! The Fitness Marshall puts out a bunch of short dance workouts that will make you want to get up a start shaking your booty. Even though they are short, he has a lot of videos that you can do to get a good sweat in. I don’t know about you, but I love a workout that is so fun that it does not even feel like a workout.

Yoga with Adriene: Adriene’s videos give you such a good workout and her voice is so calming that it really helps me de-stress during the workout. She has videos ranging from under 10 minutes to 60-minute videos. She also has plenty of options for all ages and levels, so you can even have a good workout with your little one! So roll out your mat, breath in and breath out, and get ready to have a great yoga class.

Boho Beautiful: Juliana’s workouts are definitely challenging, but as she says, “Your decisions today will define your tomorrow.” She has yoga classes of many different styles for all levels, pilates for all levels, and much more. My favorite part about her videos is that she travels all around the world and will do a video in some of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. So you know what? If a video is going to make feel like I am taking a yoga class on a beautiful island, COUNT ME IN!

Hiking: This is by far one of my top 3 favorite workouts. Especially right now, getting out to get some fresh air feels like a luxury. A plus to this, if you have a doggo who loves to exercise or has a lot of energy, why not let them tag along? I definitely recommend looking up any hiking trails near you and go out a become one with nature.

Well that is it you guys! I obviously did not check off every different type of workout there is, but these are just my favorites. If you have any recommendations drop it in the comment section. I love trying new workouts! Until next time, stay safe and healthy!
